2026 More Than 90,000 Saudi Families Moved into Their First Homes During the First Nine Months of 2026

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that 90,836 Saudi families moved into their first homes between the beginning of 2026 and the end of September. This achievement reflects the ministry’s continued efforts to promote housing stability among Saudi families and facilitate access to suitable housing by providing a variety of housing and financing options that meet their needs and aspirations.

The ministry explained that the total number of Saudi families benefiting from housing support services from the beginning of this year until the end of September reached 73,614 families, while the number of beneficiaries in September alone stood at 10,421.

It also stated that the total number of subsidized contracts signed since the launch of the Sakani program in 2017 until the end of September 2026 reached 1,068,787. Riyadh Region ranked first in subsidized contracts signed during September, accounting for 20%, followed by Makkah Region at 17% and the Eastern Province at 12%.

The ministry added that the Sakani program continues to offer various housing options, including ready-built residential units, off-plan properties (units under construction), self-construction, and residential land. These options provide Saudi families with greater flexibility in choosing housing solutions that suit their needs and financial capabilities.

The ministry also highlighted the role of partnerships with real estate developers in diversifying housing supply and developing residential neighborhoods equipped with essential services, public facilities, parks, and green spaces. These efforts aim to create integrated residential environments that promote family stability and improve quality of life both inside homes and within their surrounding communities.
