2026 Driven by Residential and Agricultural Demand, Real Estate Prices in Saudi Arabia Rise 1.2% Year-on-Year in Q3 2026
Official data released today by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed that Saudi Arabia’s Real Estate Price Index rose by 1.2% in the third quarter of 2026 compared with the same quarter of the previous year (Q3 2025). In its report, the authority attributed the annual increase primarily to a 2.3% rise in residential property prices, as the residential sector carries the largest weight in the index.
Growth in the residential sector was driven by a notable 4.9% increase in residential land prices, followed by a 1.7% rise in apartment prices and a 0.8% increase in residential floor prices. Conversely, a sharp 7.7% decline in villa prices moderated the sector’s overall growth.
Meanwhile, the agricultural sector maintained its annual growth momentum, recording a 3.9% increase, driven entirely by an equivalent 3.9% rise in agricultural land prices.
On the other hand, declines in the commercial sector limited the overall increase in the index. The commercial sector, which accounts for 25.4% of the index’s total weight, recorded an annual decline of 2.0%.
This decline was driven by a 2.1% drop in commercial land prices, a 1.4% decrease in commercial building prices, and a 0.9% decline in the prices of showrooms and retail shops.
